Google Patents

Search patent publications by query, patent office, status, and publication date.

GET/api/v1/google/patents

Costs 1 credit per request; failed requests are refunded. Authentication, the search_metadata envelope and error codes are the same as for every endpoint (see the API reference). Try it in the playground.

Parameters

`q`required	string	Patent search query, up to 500 characters. Supports keywords, publication numbers, and quoted phrases.Up to 500 characters.
`country`	string	Optional two-letter patent office code, such as US, EP, or WO.
`status`	"all" \| "grant" \| "application"	Include all publications, granted patents, or applications.Default: all.
`sort`	"relevance" \| "newest" \| "oldest"	Order by relevance or publication date.Default: relevance.
`page`	integer	One-based results page, up to 100. Available pages depend on the query.Default: 1.Range: 1 to 100.
`limit`	"10" \| "25" \| "50" \| "100"	Results per page: 10, 25, 50, or 100.Default: 10.Range: 10 to 100.

Response

A JSON object with search_metadata (request id, credits used and remaining) and the result groups the page returns. Groups and fields depend on the content of each page, so treat every field as optional.
